INTRODUCTION TO BEE-KEEPING
This one day course is designed as an introduction for potential new bee-keepers or bee-keepers with less than 2 years experience. The morning is a classroom lecture and the afternoon is a practical demonstration within our hives to allow you "hands on" experience.
Protective clothing will be supplied if required but please bring stout boots or "wellies” and a packed lunch Course will run 10am till 4pm

QUEEN and SWARMING CONTROL
This 1/2 day course is designed to help you know the signs of a “queen right” hive, find her, mark and clip her, and check your hive for signs of swarming and preventive methods to avoid swarming. This is a practical course so protective clothing will be required.
Course will run 10am till 12.30pm

Want to increase your stocks, this 1/2 day course shows you how to build a nucleus colony, consider the pitfalls, and how to overcome them. Build Nucleus colonies using queen cells and mated queens.

DISEASE RECOGNITION, TREATMENT AND PREVENTION. PREPARING HIVES FOR WINTER
Course will cover all aspects of Bee Health and Disease, including the use of Varroa treatments etc, We will also cover the preparation for wintering of the hive and the over winter storage of equipment.
Course will run 10.00am till 4.00pm
