INTRODUCTION TO BEE-KEEPING

This one day course is designed as an introduction for potential new bee-keepers or bee-keepers with less than 2 years experience. The morning is a classroom lecture and the afternoon is a practical demonstration within our hives to allow you "hands on" experience.


Protective clothing will be supplied if required but please bring stout boots or "wellies” and a packed lunch Course will run 10am till 4pm

DISEASE RECOGNITION, TREATMENT AND PREVENTION. PREPARING HIVES FOR WINTER

Course will cover all aspects of Bee Health and Disease, including the use of Varroa treatments etc,  We will also cover the  preparation for wintering  of the hive and the over winter storage of equipment.

Course will run 10.00am till 4.00pm

1 TO 1  BEE EXPERIENCE CLINIC


The clinic will cover a range of beekeeping activities/problems tailored to course participants requirements,  Inspecting our hives with a detailed discussion on what we are seeing, looking for and what to expect .*


Course will run 1pm till 3.00pm

Protective Clothing will be supplied if required, but please bring “wellies” or stout boots that cover your ankles
